Dan is away for the weekend this weekend, well actually its Thursday till Monday at LAN ( a computer gaming festival for all those who are lucky enough to not be computer widows)
I spend most of yesterday Driving. We set off at about midday and made our way to our 1st stop in Rochdale to pick up his friend, then down to Coventry using some A roads to avoid the busy M6.
We all finally arrived in Coventry at the Ricoh arena at around 4.30pm, where they had to register. 1 hour 20 mins later ( :O !!!!) they emerged and off we went to get the camping gear our of the car. Yes, they are camping while at the computer thing, it confused a few of my friend who imagined computers in fields lol.
After finally setting up camp and getting their computers out of my car I could leave, at nearly 7pm to start the long lonely journey back to Liverpool from Coventry.
I really like driving alone though, I can listen to what I want on the radio and sing along as loudly as I like, the only thing I hate when driving is traffic and I hit a lot of it, not literally thank god.
The M6 was very slow coming back, traffic because of “incidents” of which I saw none, lots of 50 mph average speed cameras and road works with no people working. I suspect people rarely work on them, as I have never seen it and the road works are constantly there!
Anyway I finally arrived home at about 9.20pm, to a tired and very happy to see me little girl. I got her settled to sleep at about 10.20pm, had some tea then decided to do some tidying/ sorting in our room.
I rarely get time to sort out things upstairs as I have C in the daytime who doesn’t nap, I’m at work when she is with her grandparents and Dan goes to bed at about 8pm as he gets up for work at 5.30am on a normal day so the time to sort never appears.
So I have decided while he is away and C is asleep I can do some much-needed sorting, get some stuff together to sell, bin what isn’t needed anymore and find homes for what we will be keeping.
I might use the 6 months rule and get rid of anything that I haven’t used in the last 6 months, well within reason, some things are obviously seasonal. I really want to get rid of a lot of stuff though, it’s just clogging up the space and isn’t really needed anymore.
Spring cleaning is in the air!
Do you have any tips on cleaning? if so let me know, I can use all the help I can get!
